Virginia Safari Park Reviews

I had mixed feelings about the visit. Some of the animals looked healthy and well cared for, but others seemed tired and a bit crowded, which was hard to see. We also had to wait longer than expected, and that definitely got frustrating after a while.

Visited Virginia Safari Park with my family and we had a really nice time. The park was mostly clean and easy to get around. The roads were definitely a little dusty, but that feels kind of expected with all the cars driving through and animals roaming around. The bathrooms could probably use a bit more attention during busier times, but I didn’t see trash everywhere or anything like that. The animal areas looked well cared for, and overall it was a good visit.

I was fully prepared for the usual ticket-booking chaos, but somehow this turned into the easiest part of my day. I booked the tickets in just a few minutes, everything went through without a single issue, and there was zero drama for once. a rare and beautiful victory.

I was hoping to see a bigger variety of animals. Most of what we saw felt like the same few over and over, so it got a little boring after a while. I was also a bit confused because the email made it sound like there would be more to see, but the actual experience felt different.

Had a easy flow overall, nothing too confusing or annoying. It was just a bit slow at times, so I had to wait more than I expected, but besides that it worked fine for me

Not sure how to explain it, but my car actually seemed dirtier afterward, and I was a little worried it might end up with scratches. Just didn’t leave me feeling very confident about using it again.

We had a really nice time overall. The kids absolutely loved feeding the animals, and getting around with the stroller was surprisingly easy. The only downside was that some of the lines got a bit long, which tested everyone’s patience for a while. Still, it was a fun family day and definitely worth the visit.

Just a heads up for anyone planning to go: the wait times were rough. We spent way more time standing around in lines than actually enjoying the park, and after a while it really started to take the fun out of the day.

I totally get that places get busy, but it felt like there wasn’t much control, communication, or updates about what was going on. For what you pay to get in, I expected things to move a lot better. We left frustrated, so I’d definitely think twice before going on a busy day

I had a decent time, but for what the tickets cost, I expected a bit more. It’s one of those places where you leave wondering if the price was really worth it.

I tried the drive-through expecting it to be an easy little experience, but it wasn’t worth it for me. The animals crowded right up around my car, and I felt unsafe the whole time. It almost felt like they knew cars meant food and were pushing in on purpose, which made it even more uncomfortable. I ended up just wanting to get through and leave.

I wasn’t really expecting much, but everyone there was super friendly. I guess I have to admit it was a pleasant experience.

The signs around the park were actually really helpful. They had simple little facts about the animals and where they’re from, which was nice. A few of them were kinda worn out, but you could still read them fine. The kids ended up learning a lot, so that was a good bonus

Went with my mom, she uses a walker. Overall, it was manageable. Parking was close, which helped a lot. Most of the paths were fine, and the staff were friendly about pointing us where to go. A few bumpy areas here and there. And the safari wagon step was kind of awkward for her. Not perfect, but still a nice day.

It was just way too crowded. I thought I’d be able to walk around and enjoy things, but, well, I could barely move half the time. It ended up feeling more stressful than fun, honestly.

I’ll admit I’m probably a little picky about places like this because I really like things to feel organized when I’m out with kids, and Virginia Safari Park felt a bit rough right from the start. We were excited to go, but the entrance line moved slowly and the signs weren’t very clear, so we started off kind of annoyed.

The animals themselves were definitely the best part, and it was cool getting to see them up close. That said, some spots felt crowded, and the whole feeding situation was more chaotic than I personally enjoy. The kids had fun here and there, but I felt like I was constantly trying to manage the situation instead of relaxing.

For what we paid, I expected the visit to run a little smoother. I wouldn’t say it was a terrible day, but it didn’t leave me wanting to hurry back either. If you’re more laid-back about crowds and chaos, you might like it more than I did.

Had a really good day out here and enjoyed the vibe. It was a fun place to visit, though I did feel like it was a bit overpriced for what it was haha

I took my kids here over the weekend, mostly because we needed to get out of the house and I didn’t feel like doing another playground trip, and they had the best time. Feeding the animals from the car was definitely the highlight for them. They were laughing the whole time, especially when the animals came right up to the window. The walk-thru area was easy to do too, and there was enough to look at that nobody got bored or started complaining, which is always a win. The staff was friendly, everything felt relaxed, and we ended up staying longer than I expected. Really nice little family outing

The feeding part felt rushed too, and wasn’t really personal at all. For what we paid, I was expecting a lot more actual interaction.
